Jare gelede, 1966 tot 1970, in Oos Londen het ons as Frankfortse Vrystatertjies, langs die see gebly, gewerk, gekamp en vis gevang. Ons tent was ons 1967 Toyota Corona bakkie se bak met 'n seil oor wat ons by SA Canvas gekoop en self met tuinharkstele pas gemaak het. 'n Groen boomslang het ons so laat skrik terwyl ons een aand 'n vleisie oor die kole staan en braai dat ons daar en dan besluit het om maar liewers te begin kyk na 'n karavaan.
